While looking at Facebook last night I found out that someone I used to work with ended up getting engaged as she posted a picture of her engagement ring and let me tell you, it was BEUTIFUL! It reminded me of one of those rings you would find on a jewelry page, you know the one any girl would dream of getting.

Seeing it reminded me of what Paul and I went shopping for my engagement ring. He wanted me to go shopping with him one day just so he would know what style to get. So we just stopped at one of the stores in the mall and started trying them on. I’ll never forget how excited I was to try them on because it meant after all those frogs I finally found my prince. I showed him what I actually liked, nothing fancy, just round diamond on a gold band. I wanted something simple and practical where I would dare wear doing yard work without it getting to trashed.

After we shopped there, I was suppose to drop the subject from then on. So I never knew when & where he would end up shopping for my ring or when he would pop the question. I then found out later he had gone to a Mom & Pop jewelry store that spent hours with him trying to find the perfect ring for me. I’m thinking that they did end up pouring loose diamonds out so he could find the one he would want, I could be wrong though.

Anyways, the ring Paul presented me was perfect! It was just want I wanted, if anything the diamond was actually bigger than what I had expected, but you didn’t hear any complaints from me.

I just would like to congratulate Amy & Eric on their engagement and wish them many happy years in years to come!
